Deviation Actions

So, I recently decided to change my username to something a bit more mature. I've been rocking the same handle for some 13 years or something like that (back when I was about 15) and the name had started to look a bit immature and didn't represent me in the way I wanted it to. I felt something more mature and respectable would help give me a more... professional image?

Anyway, with a new name and self image came a new gallery. I have just purged my gallery of some 120+ deviations. I was tired of seeing my really old, low standard work being shown on the 'More by...' panel on my deviations as they no longer represent my current ability. I feel like people would see them and not have any interest in looking at my other work.

I've been a user here for 10 years. Attention isn't something I've really been successful with and I've kind of grown out of (or grown tired of) looking for it. If people like my work, they will follow me. If not, it's cool. DA is a heavily populated and competitive place. The best I can do is present myself and my work in a way that shows me as a bit more respectable rather than... what I was.

I've also finally been dipping my toes into the forums; a place that I was kind of bewildered by. It's fun to go out and interact with other artists and have an actual discussion rather than posting your work and hoping people will come. It's like arranging a party and not telling anyone about it. Nobody will show up and it might just be better to go and talk to a couple of people, rather than waiting for a crowd that will never come.

Anyway, not really big news or anything. Just expect me to be around a bit more often. I was going to migrate my account to a different one but really, there's no point. I'm sorry to those who had certain pieces of work in their favourites. You won't be able to enjoy them anymore, but this is my gallery and it really needed an overhaul.
